Atty. PSSg Arla Ray O Paciencia is a commissioned police officer and lawyer in the Philippine National Police (PNP). She was recognized after making history as the first-ever Ms. PNP Ganda Pulis winner.
Tubong Tacloban City, Paciencia is a registered nurse who later joined the police service. While deployed at the station of Police Regional Office 8 (PRO 8), she gained attention after being crowned as the first ever Ms. PNP Ganda Pulis in the pageant held at Camp Crame in 2017.
He also demonstrated academic excellence and dedication to public service when he took a law course while remaining an active member of the police.
In 2023 she successfully passed the Philippine Bar Examinations and is officially a lawyer.
However, Atty is currently facing. PSSg Paciencia under intense investigation and public prosecution after authorities revealed that his issued service firearm was allegedly used by his 14-year-old nephew in a bloody shooting at San Jose National High School.
The tragedy struck on June 22, 2026, when a minor allegedly fired a gun inside the school, resulting in the death of three students and the injury of seven others.
Based on an investigation by the Philippine National Police and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, the suspect allegedly had access to Paciencia's official service firearm, raising serious questions about the security and proper handling of guns. According to this, authorities said he could face both criminal and administrative charges.
