A heartbreaking discovery was made on Wednesday, February 19, 2026, as 12-year-old Crystal Joy Lagaras Abarquez was found dead in Toledo City after being missing for eight days.
The Discovery
Crystal was last seen on February 11 in Poblacion, Toledo City. Following an agonizing search, her remains were finally located in a forested area of Barangay Ibo. According to witnesses, the scene was grim: her body was found tied to a tree and was already in an advanced state of decomposition.
